about me.
Welcome to my website! My name is Mariella Tardio, I'm a freelance makeup artist, specialising in makeup for events, film fashion along with many areas in-between.

I studied BA(Hons) specialist makeup at the University of Gloucestershire, this is where I gained my experience in media suitable makeup effects and hairstyling, including skills such as prosthetics and knotting/wig making.
​
I also have multiple years of experience working in the beauty industry alongside my Free-lance career for brands such as Urban Decay, Bobbi Brown, Yves Saint Laurent and Lancôme where I have gained further make-up and skincare specialist skills.

As a Make-up artist I always aim to give my clients a rememberable experience as my job is never done until my client is more than satisfied and feeling confident with the service provided.
I am a highly professional, ambitious and enjoyable artist to work with. to fit this role I believe I pay attention to every detail alongside technique with a little help from high quality make-up, skincare and hair products, as I only want the best for my clients and business.

Glam/Occasion Makeup
If you have a special occasion such as a night out, prom or just fancy a glam session, this service would be perfect for you to spice up your look for the occasion with anything from a soft to colourful look suited to your preferences. Lashes and application can be provided to complete the look upon request.
Bridal
In preperation for your special day you want to look and feel your very best, I aim to offer you a service to help you feel confident for this cherished day to come. I highly reccomend booking a trial before-hand where we can discuss and experiment with different products and looks in preperation for the day so that everything is smoth sailing to fit to your needs. Bookings in advance are required for your trial and weddding date.
Festival ready
This service is a great fit in preperation for your festival or party event that desires decorative make up such as bold colours, designs, rhinestones, glitter and more so that your look is a stand out from the crowd!
Fashion/Editorial
I am passionate for working in a studio space where I can use my creativity to create on trend and out of the box looks suitible for camera work for creative and advertising purposes. In this area I am good at following a directive vision, collaberating on ideas within a team but also able to use my own initiative to create an impactful design for a eye catching project.
Body Art
Art is where it all started for me, with deep roots of artistic passion. Using the body as a moving canvas is a beautiful art form becuase no two are the same which is why I enjoy experimenting with this medium in creative ways. This can include a head and shoulders, half body, or full body paint in the visual form of illusion, colour and texture.
